REf.# 77 1772 ~ Three Sisters, Scott Lake, Oregon
I had visited Scott Lake in the Cascades many times as a young boy when my family went over the Old McKenzie Pass to get to Central Oregon. The challenge to getting this photo is to get there in early October ~ when the huckleberry brush turns to its bright Autumn color, the peaks are dusted with the first snows, the lake has refilled with late Summer rains, and before early Fall snow closes the pass for Winter. This was a great year ~ and the first delicate clouds of an incoming weather front filled the sky. |
