In this amazing canyon on the Navaho Reservation the abstracts created by the sandstone walls are endless. This view is looking overhead at a massive overhang. As light reflects deeper from wall to wall the colors become more intense. The yellow sandstone up high is actually the same sandstone you see below. Add to this the effect of a blue sky visible in some areas and colors turn to blue and purple. |
