REf.# 91 5389 ~ North Sister, McKenzie River, Oregon
For several years of driving up the McKenzie River Highway I had noticed a a quick glimpse of the North Sister from the highway. When I took the time to stop and find a vantage point I found the only good spot was about 10 feet from shore perched on a rock . . . . a small area slightly above water. Fortunately I had my 80" tall tripod to mount the 4x5. I waded out . . brrrrr . . . film holder and viewing loupe in pocket and climbed up on the rock. A film holder holds two sheets of film - one on each side. I made two exposures. One of the exposures failed likely because the tripod legs were vibrating from the current. The other you can see was good. |
